Since the publication of the first edition of this book in Korean, I have been leading seminars on its content around the globe. Many of the missionaries and pastors in attendance testified that they were able to see the core of the Bible and God’s big picture and were grateful for the transformation of their perspective. One missionary confessed, “Thank you for opening our eyes to see, opening our ears to hear, and opening our hearts to understand.” With the enthusiastic responses of attendees, their recommendations, and their prayers, the seminar continues. Last year alone, 10 seminars were held in Israel, Korea, Mongolia, Brazil, and the United States. During the first half of this year, I delivered lectures in Israel twice and also in Korea, Bulgaria, and the United States to pastors and missionaries. Additional seminars have been scheduled for the second half of this year and the first half of next year as well.
This book has been translated into Mongolian, and translations into Spanish and Chinese are in progress. The Scriptures quoted in the English edition are from the 1984 New International Version (NIV) of the Bible. For clarity, the King James Version (KJV) and the New King James Version (NKJV) are at times utilized as well and are marked as such. The English edition is now being released into the world.

Jesus Christ, Israel, Jerusalem With three key keywords From Creation to New Jerusalem Seeing God’s Big Picture with a glance.
To see God’s big picture in the Bible, we must grasp three keywords that God chose for mankind’s salvation. Jesus Christ, the one God chose, appears in the Bible more than 1,800 times. From beginning to end, the Bible is a story about Jesus Christ. This epic story’s two axes are the First and Second Advents of Jesus.
Israel, the nation God chose, is mentioned in the Bible more than 2,300 times.
Jesus Christ first came through the nation of Israel for mankind’s salvation and will come again in connection with Israel. Jerusalem (Zion), the city God chose, appears in the Bible about 1,000 times. The most important events in the Bible are accomplished and fulfilled with Jerusalem at the core.
Centered on the three keywords are seven significant subjects that emanate throughout the Bible. These are: God’s vision, God’s strategy, God’s city, God’s pupil (the apple of God’s eye), God’s people, God’s time, and God’s Kingdom.
This book utilizes the Q&A (question and answer) format to research each subject in depth through the study of the whole Bible to seek to see God’s big picture.
When we see God’s big picture and understand God’s vision, plan, intent, and method, we experience a stronger assurance of faith in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, and we grow to distribute spiritual food to the saints in due season. My prayer is for all of us to experience the deeper grace of understanding God’s heart and the joy of participating in God’s work in this era.
